They each dominated the 50.9-mile race through the Pyrenees, Walmsley winning by more than 10 minutes and Schide by 25 minutes. The French men and Italian women both relegated the US to runner-up finishes in the team competition.

- France's Frédéric Tranchand and Sweden's Tove Alexandersson win Short Trail titles at World Mountain and Trail Running Champs Tranchand won the men's race by less than 3 minutes while Alexandersson dominated the women's by almost 34. The Spanish men and Swedish women took the team titles.
- Switzerland's Remi Bonnet and Germany's Nina Engelhard win Uphill race US's Anna Gibson finished third in the women's race and US's Christian Allen was 4th in the men's. Team wins The Kenyan men and Italian women took the team victories.
