It's begun! No Race Walking fans on here? Hoping Crouser is fit, what with Kovacs getting bumped. Ryan is in Group A while the other 2 USA throwers are in Group B. They go off in 90 minutes. W 1500 in 11 hours. W 10K Final @ 8:30a.m. E.T.

Wasn’t the peacock stream for day 1 early session (non race walks) supposed to start at 750pm ET?
Yes, or I thought so. Have Peacock up now and “coverage will begin shortly” . it’s now 8pm
Yes, but all I get is "coverage will begin shortly".
Just started live. Bunch of people waddling down the road.
Women's discus (or discuss) should be starting soon.
Currently 77 degrees F, Humidity is 99%, which means a dewpoint of almost 77. Even for S.W. Florida, that would be fairly extreme. W and M Marathon should take on a different look, bringing in a few more fringe runners, as they will be competing in similar conditions tomorrow and Sunday.
My Peacock shows separate feeds for the field events and the racewalk. The racewalking has been going on for a long time but the women's discus, which should be showing now, just says "coverage will begin shortly". I subscribed to Peacock just for this championship and I really hope they get their act together before the events I care about. (Sorry, women's discus.)
It’s Day 1, morning session. Just hoping it’s simply that, the first day and just getting started..
My main feed has recently had racewalk and now discus
Feed is up now. Glad I picked Valarie Allman in the prediction contest! I really hope they show her one throw tonight.
Americans Tausaga and Jacobs both in Group A, Allman in Group B.
I just clicked on the World Champs link and am getting RW but they did cut to the discus for a couple minutes. Not sure if it will go back and forth or not.
Men's Shot in one hour. Top 12 of 36 I believe.

I keep trying both Peacock feeds but all I ever see is RW. Waaaah!
Quiet thread. I guess people love race walking as much as I do.
If they have wheelchair coverage in the marathon, why don’t they have a walking frame race in the Race Walking event? Not only would it give NBC something altruistic to cut away to during the main race, it would also give my Nana an opportunity of winning a medal. Come on, Nana, you can do it!
Evan Dunfree for the win. Canada takes the overall lead in the medal table. Can the Great White North maintain their dominance for the next 10 days? I think so.
Why don't they release the start lists for the men's 1500?
Unnecessary blue balling from WA. It's not even a full day until the heats.
What a horrible way to kick off the championship. Very frustrating.

Agree, day 1 is total waste. On the other hand, at least it gets some of the crap events out of the way when the fun begins.
they are here!

Update: they finally did.
Shout out to HUGH KENT from Guam in heat 1.
Despite what the Aussies say, he's a nice fellow.
Jakob vs. Pharmacy in heat 4.
