Great Britain not winning any Gold Medals, I Thought Keely Hodgkinson had a great chance.
In theMedal Tables USA had No other Country Close, Kenya was 2nd mostly cause the Kenyan Woman won ALL The Distance events 800, 1500, 5000, 10000, Steeple and Marathon
This Is The Medal Table, It looks like USA And Kenya and Jamaica (Silvers) were the only ones with 10 or more Medals, And Every other Country did Terrible, Ethiopia ) Golds and what 4 Medals. It is Like USA has ZERO Competition for The Medal Table. It is Like A Joke
The men's 1500 as a whole. What could have been another epic race after Paris ended with Jakob bounced in the first round due to injury, Hocker DQed in the semi, and Kerr and Laros not in contention in the final. No disrepect to Nader or the other medallists - they survived and advanced, taking advantage when it mattered most. Their medals are 100% deserved. But as a fan, it was a letdown to see all the favorites fall apart.
Pretty much has to be someone with high expectation and didn't deliver as expected right?
None. I don't belong to a gossipy old ladies bridge club, therefore I don't have any expectations for others doing something that I don't have a vested interest, input, or control over. I seem to be able to enjoy the reality of athletic events for what they are, not what I think they should be. I've never been compelled to scan the results of an effing track meet for the purpose of denigrating athletes who are performing at a level that I've never been close to.
It's easy for me to appreciate the brilliance of a sixth place finish in a world championships. Heck, just getting there is a major accomplishment. Only the best of the best ever get to do it. Even competing in the "baby conference", as pathetic as it is, means you're striving to be something better than you are. As your own athletic experience has proven, you really can be better than you are. Your unreasonable expectations of others can be better, should be better.
Seriously, wejo, you should try it. It's better for your soul. Happiness means never having to say "goes home devastated" or "choked."
I was disappointed that Keely didn’t win but it wasn’t unexpected. She already overachieved this season after coming back from a pretty significant injury. Third in the world is still great.
Hocker’s 1500 DQ.
Slightly disappointed that Nico or Grant didn’t medal.

This is the actual medal table. Midway through the meet some jackazz actually started an elaborate thread for the purpose of denigrating the US sub-standard performance in the meet. Complete with charts and unrestrained glee.
The reality was it was an above-average medal count, and the US set the record for the number of golds! Like all LRC losers, he went back home devastated and has never been heard of again.

This is pretty much spot on.
"Goes home devastated" is such a trite and tired expression. If someone can't make the world championships and "go home devastated," they're doing alright. The phrase is disrespectful to the athletes.
