I don’t agree with the steeple diss, but if he’s fit he’s got a great chance. Unfortunately, this guy will be a crazy what-if because of how injury prone he is. I think if he could’ve stayed healthy in his early-mid twenties, he would’ve been a monster miler

Nope. Straight to the back and an insane last minute kick to nab 6th. That's just how he does it- 8:30 race or 8:00 race. I've stopped hoping for something different, but his talent level is shocking.

Steeplechasing doesn’t look stacked right now, and when you’ve got a freakish engine plus the toughness he’s shown when healthy, it’s hard not to believe he’s got the tools to kick them all down late. He absolutely has the tools to kick them down late. The problem is he is never close enough for it to matter. He has to position himself better and run with the front pack, otherwise he is kicking for 6th.

I had to laugh a bit at his interview today. Said he tried to the responsible thing by making a move early to be in good position. He watched the replay of his fall and was like "oh great, I was in last place after that. I probably should've just stayed in the back and kicked from there."
Beamish is injured a lot of the time and when he does get some training in he can do this. There is a lesson here for the OAC coaching staff. Keep it within the bounds of his body's tolerences and just get him to the line in one piece.
