Off the top my head, only Lagat closed faster in a sub 13 race (51.94) which was a one-off race with no rounds. Actually that's the only one I can think of with a last lap faster than 53. Not sure if Farah did it before. Of his sub-13 races, Bekele usually closed in 53. Not sure if Farah did it, but he didn't even run a lot of sub-13 race. I did remember he closed a 13:00-13:02 in 52.6 (again, a one off DL race).
Like people pointed out, Lagat did a 51.6ish final lap in London 2006 when he ran 12:59.22. Bekele came second in that race with 13:00.04 (52.7ish final lap)
Another crazy finish was Bekele's 52.9 in a 12:48.25 race in Zurich 2006.

That's 53 IIRC, and one special thing about that race was that it was right on WR pace until mile to go, than it's followed by 3 laps of 66-67s laps before the bell.
edit: the second place also closed in 53/54 right behind, again IIRC. I think those 66-67 laps really helped them recover, though they still had to be in close to WR shape to pull it off.

Too bad the championships were so late. I'd love to see him in a rabbited 1500 while he's in this shape. His speed/strength combo appears to be at yet another level this year.
I recently looked at older results, and saw that Jakob's final 600m in Budapest 2023 (13:11.30) was 1:19.90 (final 400m was 52.45). Absolutely insane. Two consecutive sub-40 300 meters are an absolute lethal combo of speed and endurance. Has there ever been any other sub 1:20 final 600 meters in 5000m history? I looked at several fast race, but so far I haven't found any.

The pace seemed to get slower in this years WC race after the 2,34 2nd km. The field went from single file to bunched up (I haven't checked the splits for the whole race).

That was a 53.0 in that 12:48 race. He doesn't really start his kick until about 350m to go though
I hate to be th shoe guy, but comparing today's performances with anything before 2019 isn't relevant. The shoes changed things in ways that are far too hard to estimate. It's a great result even post-2019. We see a lot of sub-13 races these days but I don't think I've seen one with this kind of close over the last 5 years

The shoes don't make up for the fact that everyone was DOPED TO THE GILLS back in the 90s and 2000s.
