Hobbs is sharing, thank you very much.
the runs not over 7 miles, that is a kind of a novelty. 6 miles x 2 is a good amount certainly of aerobic. and counters the nonsense of the long run in middle distance running, which should be banned as a mainstay for those looking at 326 1500. sure you can do a long run once in a while in build up, for fun or whatever.
i think that similarly some very speed based 800 guys can run 2 or 3 miles, two times per day in winter. along with cross training, and the odd bike/swim aerobic at twenty percent easy.
it is about adaptation. aerobic development works against fast twitch, and Hobbs methods, especially with some kind of quality, looks like a great formula.
with carbs and sugar, it all depends on your metabolism, age, type of traning, volume etc.
sugar rice, has a bit of complex carbs to burn less, and with small fat butter etc, it burns slower. adding just a little butter, things burn slower.
an energy drink with ripe fruits, coffee, amino acids, mix in a little peanut butter and the mixture will deliver energy more evenly and longer.
you don't want too much oily protein as it can mess up high intensity work.
you can add butter to your coffee, a bit, and that's better before the morning run.
