I have to give credit to Hull for actually trying to win, which I think cost her a silver medal.
But, what a strange (unintentional?) move she made with about six or seven strides left to the line, moving half a lane to her right after being passed. She should have been closing down the rail if she felt Chepchirchir coming on her left. Instead, she made a very exaggerated move to the right.
Maybe it was just her body starting to fall apart as she prepared to lean at the line?

100 Percent Agree. So many people here rip on Cole, Jakob, etc. for perceived doping. Yet, a whole country that has proven issue in their anti doping is celebrated. Next to no doping controls in Kenya.....and they go 1-2. Nice job celebrating a country that supports dopers like Russia, China, and the old East Germany. Nice
Does anyone else in the history of track and field have seven global titles in the same event?
In all fairness there are more global titles at play since the changed WC to every four years instead of two, and before 1983 there was only the Olympics.
I think Edwin Moses could have made seven in the hurdles. Maybe Carl Lewis in the Long Jump. Sergie Bubka in the PV (and Mondo is already up to 5, or 8 if you count indoor World titles). Usain Bolt made 6 and it would have been 7 not for that one false start in one final. Pavoo Nurmi back in the day not to forget of course, he was so ahead of his time that he ran a solo WR just in spite when he was left of the Olympic team for having already won too many medals and the Finn Team wanted to let new guys in on the action.
