Great run by Harry to break 3hrs and a big improvement on his first marathon where he ran 3:24. Definitely got some talent. Will be interesting to see if he decides to continue and what he can ultimately run.
Styles, who ran under the alias “Sted Sarandos,” once again ran very even splits. He ran the first half of the race in 1:29:08, and then completed the second 13.1 miles in 1:30:06. In Tokyo, the 31-year-old paced the race with remarkable consistency, running the first half in 1:42:03, then split a nearly-identical 1:42:04 during the second half.
With the new watches , pacing is no longer a required skill . You can just look at your watch . I do it all the time now . And it has made me a better runner
I thought you had to qualify for Berlin? How did he get in.
Anyway I am not impressed. With his money and free time he should be running faster.
Money can do alot of things, including making women stay around you longer. But physiologically, it can only help someone so much with their running performance. Even those who buy their way to the top of everest with sherpas have to do some degree of physical labor and exertion to get there.

I am pretty sure he has pretty decent running gene. Probably wasn't even going all in. Just doing enough to break 3.
Dang, that's so close to 3:07 pace for half the distance! Must have put on a lot of weight and hardly trained if he has run 4:30 for 1600 and then that performance for 13.1.
