- Laura Muir's former coach Andrew Young banned for three years for "serious misconduct" Muir stopped working with her longtime coach in 2023. A UK Athletics disciplinary panel found that Young "ignored medical advice" and "used manipulative and coercive behavior towards those he coached." An example was forcing an athlete to race against the recommendations of a physiotherapist and abandoning an athlete on the side of the road after a disagreement.

- Former Guyana 800m Olympian Ian Roberts arrested by ICE over illegal status and weapons charges Roberts competed at the 2000 Olympics, has a 1:46.85 PB and has been working as a school superintendent in Iowa. He has a weapons charge dating back to 2020 and DHS said was "in possession of a loaded handgun, $3,000 in cash and a fixed blade hunting knife" at the time of his arrest (it's against US federal law for non-citizens without legal status to own a firearm).
