There Is Currently An Assault On Demi Payne's 10-Year-Old 4.75m NCAA Pole Vault Record Since that record, there have been 51 attempts to equal or surpass it and 15 of them have come this season. Three of the attempts were by Rutgers' Chloe Timberg who cleared 4.72m (#2 on the NCAA all-time list) and the rest were from UW twins Amanda and Hana Moll who have both cleared 4.66m.

World Athletics Tightening Gender Rules And Introducing Cheek Swab Tests To Check For The Male Y Chromosome WA's previous transgender rules barred anyone from competing in the women's category if they went through male puberty. But they have revised that rule based on recent evidence showing a "significant performance gap before the onset of puberty." The new rules will also be applied to difference of sex development (DSD) athletes as they say new evidence has "clarified that testosterone suppression in 46XY DSD, external and 46XY transgender individuals can only ever partly mitigate the overall male advantage."

Donald Trump Administration Wants The NCAA And High Schools To Strip Trans Athletes Of Women's Titles And Records A letter to NCAA president Charlie Baker and the National Federation of State High School Associations head Bob Lombardi states, "We cannot undo the damage inflicted by years of policies and practices that have denied the material reality of sex ...But we can recognize the harms done and injustices committed by such misguided policies and reversing their effects will restore a genuine commitment to girls' and women's equality of opportunity in athletic competition across the United States."

World Indoor 800m Champ Tsige Duguma Wins Rematch With World Indoor Silver Medalist Jemma Reekie At The Meeting Metz In France Duguma ran a world-leading 1:58.97 to win over Reekie's 1:59.72. Algeria's Slimane Moula won the men's 800m in 1:45.11 and Ethiopia's Kuma Girma the men’s 3000m in 7:31.78. There were world leads from Germany's Max Hess in the TJ (17.41m) and Australia's Torrie Lewis in the 200m (22.65).

Olympic 800m champ Emmanuel Wanyonyi showed he could be a threat at 1500m, winning the men's 2k race. Former world U20 1500m champ Purity Chepkirui won the women's 2k.

NCAA Bans Men From Women's Sports The decision came a day after President Trump signed an executive order barring men from women's sports and allows for the cutting of government subsidies to federal agencies that do not comply. NCAA President Charlie Baker said, "We firmly believe that clear, consistent, and uniform eligibility standards would be best for today's student-athletes rather than a patchwork of state laws and conflicting court decisions. To that end, President Trump's order provides a clear national standard."

However, now they are technically not even supposed to use the warehouse due to a permitting process hold-up with the county that could take months to complete.

Hoppel's win at Millrose last year kicked off a career year in 2024 that included a World Indoor title. The field also includes NCAA 800 champ Shane Cohen & 16-year-old high school sophomore Cooper Lutkenhaus (1:47 pb).

Cheruiyot, 29, has been training with coach Tomasz Lewandowski's group, which also includes Olympic 9th placer Stefan Nillessen. But Cheruiyot's agent said he is still deciding whether to join the group full-time after 10+ years with Bernard Ouma.
