After nearly calling it a day on his career after countless injuries, FI comes home with a 7”39,97 win in Espoo, FIN. Maybe we haven’t seen the last of the middle musketeer?

Nice race by Filip, but he didn't win. Can't post results because unregistered and it would lead to an immediate ban, but he apparently got outkicked by Iceland's Baldvin Thor Magnusson (7:39.94).

Thank you for the correction. Who would have thought ISL would have a 7’39 man?!

We get banned for posting results?
For anonymously posting links (apparently, was new to me as well). My normal IP Adresse got an never expiring ban without any prior warning after I attempted to open a thread containing two links one week ago, so ever since I have to use a VPN and post from a different browser than I normally use. I guess it's part of some kind of anti spam measures, but the immediate ban might have been be a bit drastic lol
Good to see Filip running well again. I hope he gets all the way back. He was always stronger at 1500 and under than 3k and up. At his best, he ran 3:30.01 and should have run through the line and dipped, because he would have been under. Then he struggled after the vaccine for whatever reason, though it didn't affect his brothers negatively at all.

He has had health issues for years, like allergies and such.

Great news.
He was vaccine injured in 2021 and has had a long fight to get back to fitness.

Jakob´s 2022 season wasn´t very good. He might have been influenced as well.
The 28-year-old Norwegian runner Filip Ingebrigtsen had a tough 2021 after a reaction to the corona vaccine. Now, he is training for the coming season, according to a press release by the Norwegian Athletics Association.

I thought the same - he ran his indoor WR, and then got covid, and sort of didn’t follow up his splendid start. And then he came with his smashing 2023 season…

I don't remember Jakob not having a good 2022...other than the WC loss to Wightman
