Great career. But father time is undefeated.
If you're not first, you're last.
2nd place is 1st place loser.
I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself.
But she's a MOM!

You have my interest now
My thought is if the same runners had to jump thirty-five 30" hurdles during today's race, Coburn would have smashed the field.
I'm impressed. Has everyone forgotten she broke a foot less than a year ago?

But “she’s back!!!” Per her IG 4:33 indoor altitude mile!!
Yeah she’s had a great career, time to hang it up

And pursue a career in modeling. Maybe get sponsored by lululemon. Imagine her and Colleen in a calendar…
Thought? I think she has earned respect from the running community.
It’s sad, but it happens. She raised the standard of American women’s steeping to yet-unseen heights. Huge respect. But she’s been going downhill since the Tokyo final. Will probably try to make one final Worlds team, but idk if she’ll make it. She should just tag team coaching duties for Team Boss.

pretty sure team boss would then just be bates, jennings and ellie leather. 2 coaches for 3 people might be over kill.
Like previous poster said: Father Time has reared his head. Emma had a great run in track and the steeple but I fear that her career is over but she doesn't realize it yet.

The beauty of this sport is that you never have to hang it up. If she wants to put in the work and travel she can have a long, enjoyable, rewarding career.
I remember reading a race article years ago where Gaston Roelants finished way back. He was aging out of the top competitors but he was praised for being there, still competing in the sport he loves.
Plus, wasn't this her first real race back after breaking her foot? Give her a break.

Eight years ago maybe but I’m doubtful about this in February 2025.
