Queue all the fanboys coming in. The bottom line is that performances at BU stay at BU. They mean nothing for outdoors, where usually people run much slower.

You seem like a nice person. You're teammates must have loved you

Don't understand the hate, yes the track and shoes help as well as better training and knowledge easier to access. I was a 4:02 miler. Would I be a sub 4 minute miler with current shoes, tracks, and training? yes. Am a bitter about? No. Lmao go touch grass son....

Hmm, let's look at some data.
Strand ran 3:35.60 outdoors in 2024 and made the US 1500m final (he was last)
Josh Kerr ran 3:48.87 at BU in 2022 and ran 3:30.60 outdoors
Anass Essayi ran 3:50.46 at BU in 2023 and ran 3:32.87 outdoors
and in 2024, he ran 3:51.91 at BU and ran 3:32.49 outdoors
I think it's reasonable to say a guy who runs 3:48.32 and 7:30.15 indoors at BU has a strong shot at 3:30 - 3:32 outdoors
:) <-- me when people run fast
:( <-- you when people run fast

I kind of agree with this
BU is fake times. But still a heck of a run
1/10
Rage baiting, please delete the thread mods.
Strand’s time here was over 2 seconds faster than the previous fastest collegiate time on that track (Assayi 3:50).
My point is: yes, the track is fast, but this time is still absolutely absurd when you compare it to past collegiates.
it's the shoes not the track. BU has been the same venue for decades.
I tend to look at it this way. It’s (the track) an incredible piece of engineering (there was a link to all the cool features of the track on this website a while ago), that helps athletes maximize their full capabilities.
Nobody was upset that Tokyo was one of the fastest outdoor tracks ever constructed that helped give us performances like a sub 46 4-hurdles. Why be upset just because BU is a unique and has done it the best?
congrats to Strand and everyone that tore it up in that race.

You think any real runner would hate this much? No this guy just gravitated to the most racist cesspool he could find.
Anyone want to bet the guy who can't accept a result in the most objective sport there is a MAGAT?
You're probably the same type of person to tell me my marathon personal best doesn't count cause it was net downhill, I used super shoes, ketones, baking soda, slept in an altitude tent and consumed 100g of carbs per hour during my marathon.

And look he beat Farken by a second all in the last 100. Farken a 3:32-low guy who narrowly missed the Paris final. That is a good margin and scalp anywhere

How sad your life must be. Have you ever broken 5:00 for the mile? Run indoors? Run the mile at Boston U? How about considering this:
On February 11, 2024, Fogg came in 4th place in the Wanamaker Mile, breaking 3:50 in a time of 3:49.62.[7] This time placed Fogg as 9th all-time for the indoor mile.[8]
Would you conclude that the Amory track is also "cheating"
Strand won't run 3:48, 3:49, even 3:50 outdoors. He'll run 3:30. Idiot

....
No he won't run 3:48 outdoors. I hope he runs 3:46 mile equivalent or faster and sub 12:55 for 5000m.
