Solid Distance Racing Set For Lievin On Thursday

Preview: Jakob Ingebrigtsen And Two-Time World Champ Gudaf Tsegay Highlight Lievin, France Meet On Thursday Ingebrigtsen is in the mile with Elliot Giles, Festus Lagat and Sam Prakel (the article hints Ingebrigsen could be targetting Yared Nuguse's WR). Tsegay will be going for the world indoor 3000m record which she just missed two years ago when she ran 8:16.69 (.09 short of the record). World indoor 1500m champ Freweyni Hailu and Olympic 10,000m silver medalist Nadia Battocletti are also in the race. World Indoor 800m Champ Tsige Duguma Wins Rematch With World Indoor Silver Medalist Jemma Reekie At The Meeting Metz In France Duguma ran a world-leading 1:58.97 to win over Reekie's 1:59.72. Algeria's Slimane Moula won the men's 800m in 1:45.11 and Ethiopia's Kuma Girma the men’s 3000m in 7:31.78. There were world leads from Germany's Max Hess in the TJ (17.41m) and Australia's Torrie Lewis in the 200m (22.65).

Weekend round up: Germany's Olympic Shot Put Champ Yemisi Ogunleye Wins ISTAF Indoor Dusseldorf With 19.78m There was an interesting finish in the 60H in Paris where three 2021 Euro indoor champ Wilhem Belocian, 2024 world indoor bronze medalist Just Kwaou-Mathey and 2023 Euro indoor champ Jason Joseph were all timed at 7.52. Olympic 800m champ Emmanuel Wanyonyi showed he could be a threat at 1500m, winning the men's 2k race. Former world U20 1500m champ Purity Chepkirui won the women's 2k.

NCAA Bans Men From Women's Sports The decision came a day after President Trump signed an executive order barring men from women's sports and allows for the cutting of government subsidies to federal agencies that do not comply. NCAA President Charlie Baker said, "We firmly believe that clear, consistent, and uniform eligibility standards would be best for today's student-athletes rather than a patchwork of state laws and conflicting court decisions. To that end, President Trump's order provides a clear national standard."

Japan Collegiate Runner Says He Plans To Retire After Running 2:06:07 Marathon Debut Hiroki Wakabayashi finished runner-up at the Beppu-Oita Mainichi Marathon which was won by Kenya's Vincent Kipchumba in a course record 2:06:01. Despite the impressive debut, Wakabayashi says he doesn't plan on continuing running after graduating next month.
