World 1500m champ Isaac Nader won the 3000m in 7:38 and Ethiopians Birke Haylom (4:00.62) and Nigist Getachew (1:59.98) won the 1500m and 800m; Saron Berhe was runner-up in the 1500m in a world indoor U20 record (4:01.23). Hungary's Attila Molnar broke the European indoor 400m record with 45.01.
