UPDATE: Grant Fisher, the 2x Olympic bronze medalist and indoor 3000m + 5000m world record holder, has SCRATCHED from today’s men’s 2-mile at the Millrose Games due to illness.
if hocker can drop a sub 8, and hold off kerr, strand and wolfe; big points on his legacy. my feeling is that he'll be the one leading the way. the time means more to him than anyone else in the race.

Ha, I would be extremely surprised if Hocker did that. World record chances have gone from 20% to about 2% now.
Is it time for Hocker to take that next step as the 1500m/5k gold medalist and sit on the pacer and string out the field like Jakob does?
i don't think he can string out this field. but maybe something resembling Jakob vs Kejelcha in the 3000. It takes a different kind of guts to stay in the front at those paces for the last 1000-1400 meters.
honestly, i love Fisher, but this race just became 10x more exciting
Before this I would have picked Cole to win. Suddenly it's looking really good for Beamish if these other guys don't push the pace after the pacer drops...

Where have you been? Hocker has been the one pushing the pace a lot over tha past two years. Especially indoors.
