Reminder that this guy is the age 16 world record holder over 400 at 45.12. Ran it his Sophomore summer, breaking Obea Moore's old world record. He's been a very very big talent for a very very long time.
Anybody have link for this? This seems to be an outlier based on last year's performances.
It's not an outlier. He was injured after his sophomore year. The meet was only broadcast on the acc network, despite being advertised as being on ESPN+, so unwatchable by most. :-(
You can watch the GA men run their 45 second test a month(ish) ago - via Track: All-Access. He's legit.

He also ran a 1:51 his sophomore year at AAA. He's a legit talent that could end up better than Quincy. Only time will tell. Might be a good candidate for a 1 year then pro. But I will say this might be too fast too early. There's never been a January sub 45 in college. Especially early January.

Usually I’d agree but his mechanics are so good that I genuinely believe he could ride this wave til outdoor NCAAs if he stays healthy. I feel like usually the athletes who have awful mechanics are the ones running on stream by outdoors..not to mention there’s no worlds this year. Should be a fun guy to watch!
