Agreed 7:39 isn't notable these days, but per his Strava it sounds like he was pretty pleased with it (mentioned it was solo and didn't drop mileage for it).

Also looks like he did a post race workout too.
And it goes without saying, “…and he’s still young.” LOL
I wish so badly that he ran in the NCAA. He would not get nearly the hate and would have developed better there. Not to mention he would have won some hardware. It’s like if Tuohy went straight to the pros.
Its a world class time! However over 7 years it's a not actually very impressive. Hunter is well known athlete who doing also double threshold. It build fast fitness to handle hard training. But I think he is doing very few hard v02 max training. Those vo2 max training makes the athlete actually faster for middle distance races, mainly to learn the body to adapt on those hard paces, to adapt on the specific hard rythmn. Jakob is also known for double threshold but his time are much faster, Because he said that he is doing in his race reason every two days a very hard v02 training, he is capable of this because during winter he build a huge fitness so that his body can afford multiple hard training per week. So I imagined that Hunter and his team mainly focus on building fitness but do not maximise the hard vo2 max training, sorry for my english, I am not native english speaker
