Incredible run by Ruthe to break the age group world record set by Myers. Tanner won in 3:53.36. Conditions nowhere near ideal either with winds of around 20 km/hr
Impressive result by Sam Ruthe of running a 3:53 as a 16 yr old. Hope he runs a Sub 3:50 mile by the end of 2026. All the best to him.
That's an outrageous prediction! He could realistically make the NZ team for Commonwealth games in Glasgow where they are running the mile! Imagine him up against Josh Kerr, Jake Wightman, Cam Myers and of course Sam Tanner! Especially in a championship tactical race as we have only really seen him run in fast paced/solo races.

What events is he running over the next four weeks? He said after the race that he is running more 4 miles in the next 4 weeks. Does I’m anyone know at what events?

When has he run the 4 miles last time? And what's his PB?

Him and Tanner are going over to America, so that's were they are running 4 mile races somewhere over there? I'm guessing all races indoor as it's indoor track season over there. Which are 200m tracks 8 laps for a mile which usually slightly slower due to twice as much bends.

i reckon he's got the sub 3.50 over in the US if he runs at BU. Opening 400 split today was 54.8.

I'm going to run a sweepstake / bingo board on how many posts you'll make before you mention:
- interviewing Peter Snell;
- Jim Ryun;
- Speaking to someone who knew someone at WADA or something; and
- High school doping programmes
So are you impressed or not by a 16 year old running 3:53 on 60kpw after only two years training? There isn't a Kenyan his age anywhere close to that on that modest mileage. I know what this board would say if there was.

Currently you are on a very good posting-rhythm. The next 1000 is full very soon. So, just 6000 left and still 11 months. You can do this easily!
