Couldn’t watch, but looks like he took the lead with 400 to go and went 28.4-27.5 for the last two laps.
Coscoran 7:30.97
Blanks 7:31.97
Griggs 7:32.79 PB
Langon 7:34.56 PB
Damn Blanks got immediately dropped 600 to go
Myers is a killer. Scary good.
That’s an Australian 3k record indoors or out. Surpasses McSweyn’s 7:28.02 from Rome 2020.

Of course he did. He's strong, but doesn't have that same mid-distance gear-change to kick effectively.
Can anybody over the age of 20 win anything big?
Time for Blanks to move to the marathon (not joking)

Bring it on. I will send u packing to do ultras
Did Langon lead at all? Should probably try a little harder if he is going to act really tough all the time.
Myers, Laros, P Koech, and Berg are all under 20. Koech has already run 3:27 and the rest are not far behind. I think one of them will eventually break the world record in the 1500 and/or mile.

None of them will break the 1,500m unless Jakob breaks it first, or, they use him as a pacer and get lucky.
You need to have that killer mentality to think nobody else is as good as you to break 3:26 flat. El G had it, Jakob has it.

Maybe let him develop in the 10,000 first. At least through 2028…
Actually Myers is in insane shape right now and really good effort from Blanks dropping down to distance doesn’t really fit his strengths. Glad to see blanks make a ballsy move and take this race out. I like a good result from him next week in NYC. But Myers is seriously as good as anyone in the world right now. That’s a fact.

....and find a training group.
Graham Blanks is still working into shape. This is a guy that ran 12:48 in Europe last year in his first year as a pro, a few months after graduating from Harvard, with little or no time at altitude. Nico and Galen were getting destroyed in the kick until they developed it as well, but Blanks is way, way ahead of them at the same stage in his career.

No, it was all Blanks until Myers took over with Blanks fading in the last couple laps.
