I'm starting to wonder what her ceiling is. I can't remember her ever showing great 400m speed or great 1500m strength, so in my mind I've always sort of placed a low ceiling on her ultimate potential - like a career high 1:57-1:58 runner. Her last 6 days in Boston makes me think that I shouldn't be super surprised if she pops a 1:54-1:55 in outdoors this year.

Roisin Willis really struggled as a student athlete. I'm glad that now as a pro things are working out better for her.

She ran 1:59.13 as a high school student and since then spikes have gotten better and there is now bicarb as well. So Willis being able to run sub 1:58 indoors is not a big surprise.
My British friends that know her and her training situation well always told me she ran 1.59 hardly training. Shows up for track sessions but barely trains on other days. Getting her to go for a 3 mile run is an achievement. I did hear this year she’s started training more

I have great respect for women but Boffey looks a little overweight. Maybe she dialed in her diet?
Roisin ran 1:58 low in outdoors and won USAs, so not surprising to see such a great result from her. Boffi on the other hand is a consistent 2:00 performer, so this is a huge step up for her. I watched NBIG in Boston last week and she seemed to have a lot left but was expecting 1:59 low today not 1:57 mid. Should be an incredible British champs if Keely, Boffi, and Reekie (don’t know if Hunter Bell is running the 800) show up and are firing on all cylinders.

Any update on Phoebe Gill ?
She did solo 2:00.03 as a high school senior, winning by 14 seconds.
I feel like that alone bumps the ceiling up. 1:54/5 reasonable.

She has deceivingly fast wheels. I remember she was actually more of a 400/800 runner in HS - I wanna say she ran 52 low. I assume Stanford has just never had her run a 400 when shes in good shape.
Whittaker is the one who never showed insane potential from either end, so I was always more surprised by what she pulled off in HS.
