He’s the real deal.
Nico also 3:48 in 4th.

Myers said his plan was go with 3 to go but since the first half was so fast (1:52), he waited. He said he thought it would take 3:45-3:46 to win but he prefers a little slower start.
Meyers is a total stud. 19 yrs and change. He's the future, along with Laros and Ruthe.
Nico Young moving down goes 3:48.7! Just misses Kessler at the line by .04.
He's on a tear right now, no Hoey changed the race tactics for everyone
I’m timed Myers last 200 in 27.37
Great race by Myers. Bit of a bommer that he barely misses out on a PB (0.09s slower than his time last year) But overall a good performance.
Does anyone know if Myers, Kessler and/or Nuguse is confirmed for the World Indoors later this season?
And does anyone think Myers will break or try to go after anymore agerecords before his 20th birthday (June 9th) ?
Well, that ended questions over his kicking ability.
Terrific weekend for the Wonder Kids from Down Under. Coscoran really surprised going sub 3:50. Nico keeps getting better and better. Fun times ahead.
He won't be eligible for any more U20 records. You have to be under 20 for the entire calendar year.

Can’t wait to see Myers and Ruthe go head to head. Can see some fierce rivalry between Australia and New Zealand in middle distance track on the horizon over the next decade plus!

Huh? Everyone changed their tactics specifically because Hoey, who runs maybe one or two serious races above 800m a year scratched ?
Nico with the fastest final 400 at 55.86
He doesn't look like a kid out there anymore, just happy to be in the field. He has the experience now to go into these races with a game plan to win and pull it off.
How much longer before he's the guy to beat, and the field is trying to pick it's starting based on taking down Cam?

Bossed Americans who didn't make World's. We have a pretty strong stable still.

He is a stud and looked great, but he didn't actually out kick anyone known for a kick in this. Remember Hobbs and Yared got roasted at US champs.

Remembering 2y ago when people didn't believe that science/altitude conversions meant one of Nico's NAU dome miles was worth a converted 3:52. Or that he could break 1:50 for 800 lol.
Now he's kicked a 26s last 200 in a 12:45 DL 5k win, & a closed a 3:48i mile in 55.
