MB: Shelby Houlihan's comeback rolls on - 4:20.30 mile (#2 US all-time) but she wanted much more - the WR!!!

After the race she said, "I wanted to run faster ...at least under 4:16, ideally 4:12, 4:10-4:12." The world indoor mile record is 4:13.31 by Genzebe Dibaba from 2016.

NCAA Bans Men From Women's Sports The decision came a day after President Trump signed an executive order barring men from women's sports and allows for the cutting of government subsidies to federal agencies that do not comply. NCAA President Charlie Baker said, "We firmly believe that clear, consistent, and uniform eligibility standards would be best for today's student-athletes rather than a patchwork of state laws and conflicting court decisions. To that end, President Trump's order provides a clear national standard."

Japan Collegiate Runner Says He Plans To Retire After Running 2:06:07 Marathon Debut Hiroki Wakabayashi finished runner-up at the Beppu-Oita Mainichi Marathon which was won by Kenya's Vincent Kipchumba in a course record 2:06:01. Hoppel's win at Millrose last year kicked off a career year in 2024 that included a World Indoor title. The field also includes NCAA 800 champ Shane Cohen & 16-year-old high school sophomore Cooper Lutkenhaus (1:47 pb).
