2021 Olympic 800m Champion Athing Mu returned to racing a competitive field with a 4:10.70 2nd place finish in the 3rd heat of the 1500, former World Champion Jake Wightman got a nice win in the 1500 in 3:35, Olympic silver medallist Kenneth Rooks cruised to an 8:14 win, Oregon's Klaudia Kazimierska won the 1500 (4:03) over Emily Mackay, as Linden Hall (14:43) and Eduardo Herrera (12:58) got dominant 5000m wins with Herrera going sub 13:00 for the first time and taking down Arturo Barrios' Mexican outdoor record of 13:07.

Olympic silver medalist Kenneth Rooks will run his first steeple of 2025 at Track Fest where Jake Wightman will open up his 2025 outdoor campaign.

Oregon Men Win Big Ten Conference Title, 29 Points Ahead Of Minnesota Oregon's Simeon Birnbaum won the 5000m in 13:31.87 ahead of Wisconsin's Bob Liking (13:32.47) and also finished a close 3rd in the 1500m behind Wisconsin's Adam Spencer and Washington's Nathan Green.

Casey Clinger Beats Joe Klecker And Hilary Bor To Win USATF 25k Champs At River Bank Run In Michigan

Clinger ran 1:12:17 (breaking the American record by 52 seconds) to Klecker's 1:12:31 and Bor's 1:12:53. Carrie Ellwood won the women's race by over a minute in 1:22:27, also setting an American record.

2:06:39 Marathoner Zouhair Talbi (35th At The Paris Olympics For Morocco) Has Submitted His Transfer Of Allegiance To The US He can't represent the US internationally yet, but can race at US championships. He finished 4th at the US 25k Champs this weekend.

USA Breaks Championship Record To Dominate Mixed 4x400 At World Relays; Spain Upsets US In Women's 4x400; South Africa Wins Men's 4x400 They US took more than a second off the record they set last year to dominate the race by 2.66 seconds over Australia and Kenya. In the women's 4x400, Spain set a 3:24.13 NR to get an upset win over the US (3:24.72). In the men's 4x400, SA ran a world-leading 2:57.50 to win over Belgium and Botswana.
Canada Claims Inaugural World Relays Mixed 4x100 Crown; South Africa Win Men's 4x100 And GB The Women's Canada won the mixed race in 40.30 ahead of Jamaica (40.44) and the UK (40.88). After the dropped baton on day 1 kept them out of the final, team USA won the loser's heat in 40.78 which would have won them bronze in the final. In the men's 4x100, South Africa upset the US winning 37.61 to 37.66 and in the women's race, GB took gold ahead of Spain and Jamaica (despite having SAFP and Shericka Jackson) while the US finished outside the medals in 4th

Mixed 4x100 Relay Makes Debut and US Drops Baton South Africa and Japan both ran a world-leading 37.84 to top the list of men's 4x100 qualifiers while Spain set a 42.18 national record to lead the women's 4x100. Team USA men (37.86) and women (42.86) each won their heat as well. In the mixed 4x100, Canada had the fastest time with 40.90 while Team USA fumbled the woman to man baton exchange and failed to qualify for the final, finishing with 1:05.77.
US Wins Heats in Women's and Mixed 4x4s, but the Men Don't Make the Final The US men finished third in their heat behind France and KENYA and now will have to finish top-three in the loser's round tomorrow to secure a spot for Worlds.

Fred Kerley Runs Wind-Aided 9.87 (+2.9) In His First Meet Since His Arrest He ran that in that in the semis at the Franson Last Chance meet in California after a 9.95 (+2.3) in the prelim. Final is on Saturday. While that sounds fast, it's only equal to a 10.00 with no wind.

Murphy, who turned 30 in February, ran his 1:42.93 pb on the biggest stage of all - the Rio Olympics. He made a very nice retirement video which you can watch above.

LRC The Mo Aman Saga Gets Stranger -- WADA Says He Still Has 3+ Years on His Suspension Despite Not Competing Since 2020

In January of 2021, the former world champ told a drug tester he needed to go get his passport in his car and then he sped off. His ban wasn't formally confirmed by CAS until February of this year. The AIU lists his ban as having ended in February but WADA tells us Aman could have technically competed during the last 4 years so his ban still got 3+ years to go even though the AIU database says it ended in February.

LRC Lamecha Girma Still Battling Concussion Symptoms, Hoping to Return to Racing This Month After Horrific Olympic Fall

"He’s still feeling parts of the concussion coming to him when he reaches certain high speeds and levels," said Girma's agent Hussein Makke. "...He’s not normal yet. He’s able to train and he’s put in good workout sessions, but at such a point, a combination of intensity and other things, he feels some dizziness and some things...He's planning to come back and run his race when he’s close to 100%."

LRC Police Report: Fred Kerley Was Arrested After US Olympian Alaysha Johnson Alleged Kerley Hit Her In The Face With A Closed Fist

Johnson, a 2024 Olympian in the 100m hurdles, told Broward County police that Kerley struck her in the face, causing her nose to bleed. Kerley's girlfriend says that's not what happened. She sayd Johnson's girlfriend actually hit Johnson when fighting with Kerley.

"She is on the mend,"said Parker's father and agent, Kyle. "I don’t want to get into [the specifics of the injury] at this point, but she is in good shape...I’ll be able to share more [about racing plans] in the future, we’re just waiting on a few things relative to her health. She’s in a good spot mentally."
