These designs are unbelievably stupid
What's wild to me is that it in this arms race it A) took someone all these years to officially best Nike and B) Nike hasn't been able to find that 'next' innovation since the original Alpha/Vaporfly breakthroughs.
Have Taylor Roe and Alex Maier been wearing this shoe?

in what way? They are marvels of engineering. Are you just referring to the aesthetics?

That graph with all 15 subjects being fastR in the new Puma is pretty convincing.
Cool. I'll buy a pair
The Fast-R 2 was awful, so I'd take some convincing to buy this.
It was much heavier than other super-shoes, with an uncomfortable ride and seemed to slow my cadence dramatically.

the study shows that the fast r 2 is slightly better than the alphafly and adidas. very slightly. but the r3 better than them all by a ton.
Guess the first sub 2 marathoner could be from the US or Europe based on who puma sponsors.
Give me the Endorphin Elite
Give me the Mizuno Wave Rebellion 3. Mindblowing how awesome this shoe is.
So if an alpha saves you 4 mins, this will save you another 10s ? Nice but not exactly going to rewrite the record books.
Well the latest results by Puma Elite does validate this slightly, but they don't have a single top tier elite.

Outside online sucks ^ss
Puma already has the fastest super spikes on the market - there was a good preprint on it last year, Puma's spikes outperform the Dragonflys. Puma's nitro foam is clearly top of the charts, they just don't have any top level track runners who can really showcase it. Not surprising to see their marathon shoe scoring well.

That's what I was wondering. I would assume yes. But The way the article was written, it sort of was implied they weren't wearing them as it was acting like the spring marathons would be the first time people would see them in action.
On reddit, a shoe guy had no idea what Roe was wearing in Boston which leads me to think she may have been wearing them.
