-Women's side LD was working OK though the 5K wasn't too additive IMO, Men's side was a disaster with some entertainment value, but not of the right sort
-Thus love just simplifying to one race where these guys can forgo jogging at least after the first four to five minutes
-Friday's tickets sales indicated it wasn't worth going 3 days as people have work/obligations, the scene was much better on Saturday/Sunday
-I still don't need the sprint hurdlers sprinting, but whatever
- 2 days is better, if I didn't have my nephew/niece b-day party I'd go to Philly for both and even cough up for lodging if i couldn't find somewhere to crash.
No longer a reason to watch. Just going to have to drink to nothing now.
You honestly loved the 5Ks where they jogged around for 4800 the first one, or the race was a straight runaway with a mile to go in the second?
I'd agree the second women's one was thrilling because N'getich won, but watching her run away successfully or just be stalked by an Ethiopian for 4,900 meters is going to get old.
The switch to only 3k for LD group is great imo. Should encourage more aggressive race strategies and discourage athletes tanking one of the races, since they don't have to worry about doubling back. Will hopefully be overall more entertaining to watch.

Great decision. Kudos to MJ and GST for listening to the fans.
Making the long-distance group 3K only alleviates the concern about those athletes burning out, which increases the likelihood of more top athletes deciding to participate.
It's also noteworthy that each day of racing will still be done in under 2 hours. No more long gaps in between races.
I would have cut the 3 not the 5. But I guess there is a better chance distance guys run the 3 fast instead of tactical. Its not a good look to not deliver on what is promised though. I would have finished out the 4 meets and then evaluated for next year.

Yes. I honestly did. Why are you so condescending? Are you that shocked when people disagree with you?
Elise Cranny was probably having the least fun at Grand Slam getting destroyed in the 5k/3k. Now she can focus on going all in on the 3k without the stress of worrying about another 5k shortly after.
Already running out of money? That was even quicker than expected.
It seems that Michael Johnson will establish a new world record for the shortest lived self-proclaimed premium global sport league.
I wonder how much money Michael Johnson made because of this? I always suspected this gst was a money grab on his part with absolutely no intention of delivering on the hype.
I'd bail on principle. And depending on the contract, CONSIDER a lawsuit. But in the end probably not worth the hassle and stress. And often times better to be "the bigger man."
1x5000 is still more work than a 100h and 100, 100 and 200, etc. 8/15 group definitely earning their money. 400/400h as well. 200/400 is no picnic.
