Rich Perelman of the Sports Examiner has the numbers via SportsMediaWatch:
● 5 April (Sat.) in Kingston: 246,000
● 6 April (Sun.) in Kingston: 241,000
● 3 May (Sat.) in Miramar: 250,000
● 4 May (Sun.) in Miramar: 248,000
A few notes:
-These are the CW numbers in the US from Saturdays and Sundays. It doesn't include Peacock streaming numbers, which means it doesn't include Friday ratings at all since those days were Peacock-only.
-Perelman noted that the numbers were way smaller than other pro meets that have been shown on NBC in recent years, but that's not an apples to apples comparison because NBC has a bigger reach than the CW
-The numbers were slightly higher than last year's NCAA championships on ESPN2 (237,000 per meet)
Perelman concludes that Grand Slam Track has successfully captured the "core" US track & field audience. But that was to be expected. Their aim has always been to bring non-track fans in. That remains a work in progress.
