RRW With A $20K First Prize & World Team Spots, USATF Half-Marathon Championships Attract Top Fields

The Atlanta Track Club is hosting the USATF Half-Marathon Championships on Sunday, March 2, as part of the Publix Atlanta Half-Marathon at The Home Depot Backyard, and the top three men and women will earn qualifying spots for Team USATF in San Diego. A huge field of 110 elite athletes will compete for a $110,000 prize money purse, and the winners will take home $20,000.

Japan Collegiate Runner Says He Plans To Retire After Running 2:06:07 Marathon Debut Hiroki Wakabayashi finished runner-up at the Beppu-Oita Mainichi Marathon which was won by Kenya's Vincent Kipchumba in a course record 2:06:01. Despite the impressive debut, Wakabayashi says he doesn't plan on continuing running after graduating next month.
