Emily Sisson was absolutely brilliant, going out on AR pace (69:26) and then she picked it up and ran her fastest at the very end of the race.
Kipruto got his second major win as Conner Mantz recorded the fastest debut by an American-born athlete ever (2:08:16).
Mantz has a big week ahead. He has his marathon debut today and he gets married on Saturday.

- Leo Young, Lex Young And Aaron Sahlman Go 1-3 To Give Newbury Park The Win At Asics Clovis Invitational Leo Young won in 14:25.9 over Lex Young (14:31.7) and Sahlman (14:52.4). Young's time is the second fastest on the course behind only German Fernandez (14:24 in 2007). Hanne Thomsen dominated the girls race in 17:04.2.

If Eliud Kipchoge is going to win a third straight, he'll have to prove he can handle hills as the Olympic marathon course looks amazing as it goes from Paris to Versailles and back and has some hills. Plus there is a FREE mass participation marathon and 10k as well.

Allegations regarding the Huntington University track and field team where Nick Johnson used to coach and his wife Lauren Johnson now coaches continue to come out thanks to the great reporting by David Woods and continue to get more grim. Two national champions for Huntington claim their coach gave them unknown injections and have asked that their national titles be invalidated. One claims she was raped by Nick. Police reports show Nick, who had already pled guilty to a felony after admitting to impersonating a University of Oregon staffer so he could take a teen recruit on a trip where the teen told police many sexual acts took place, has admitted to having sex with two other athletes and his wife admitted she didn’t tell anyone at Huntington as she didn’t want them to lose their jobs. She’s now the head coach. If that’s not bad enough, there are now allegations of PED usage. Did PEDs cause the Johnsons to leave the Oregon Track Club?

Yalemzerf Yehualaw is incredibly good at the marathon but her record-breaking 4:43 split in London was mismeasured according to marathon expert Helmut Winter.
Kipruto won his first major in grand style, ripping apart the field with one of the fastest miles in marathon history.
