"Jenny, you just won the Army Ten Miler, congratulations. Do you know Ruth Chepngetich just split a 49:48 for 10 miles at Chicago?"
Sisson with a group of 6-7 other runners also split fast than that at 10 miles in Chicago.
The good news is she won.
The bad news is the time was a modest 54:15 which is 5:25.5 pace or 2:22 marathon pace.
Come on Rojo! Do you like simply taking threads away from other posters?
I Wonder if her deal with Puma is kinda like Nick Willis with Tracksmith, where it's partly for running but partly some kind of marketing/management/corporate job to transition into.
Don’t read this thread, don’t post and we can retake our threads from Rojo. happy for Jenny more pro runners should run the ATM as well as the Cherry Blossom.
Bumping this thread so more people comment here instead of Rojo’s copycat thread.
Great start Jenny. So proud of you for repping the USA well and clean.

In 2 seconds you could have seen she called it a rust buster days before the race. In 1 second you could have realized one does not go to Army Ten Miler to run elite times.
Those who are saying this isn't a good result because it's "only" 2:22 pace (Rojo) are stupid - a win is a win, and this is the first result I have seen in a while for Jenny, so all good in my book.
I'm curious why she chose this race as her opener. There's no prize money so is not competitive upfront other than the Kenyans in the Army program, and isn't even a convenient location from where she lives.
Interestingly she also ran Cherry Blossom in DC last year, which makes me wonder if she has a connection to the area.

Uhh just don't ask her about her visits to Dr. Brown...
Tied for 69th U.S. all-time 10 miles.

Her sister is in the Army. Or was - not sure if she is retired.

In hindsight this was a rudeass post and I'm not sure why I made it. Mad respect for Jenny, and good luck to her on the roads
I see three Robert Johnsons that ran it, but doesn't seem like any of them were you. Would have been a good kick start for your sub-3:00 training. Why be a hater, rojo?
