The 2024 Paris Olympic Marathon course is out and it's pretty cool. It goes from Paris to Versailles and back and has some hills. So the history buffs and fans of hilly marathons will be happy.
All in all it's got 438 meters of elevation gain which is a lot more than Boston which is net downhill. 438 meters is 1437 feet and Boston has roughly 850 feet of elevation gain from what I can tell and is net downhill. The Paris course if net no elevation gain.
More details below. And also for the 1st time there will be a mass participation marathon with 20,024 participants and a 10k with 20,024 participants. Both races are free (and presumable will be held on a different day)
I'll need to talk to JK about how much the hills will slow everyone down but I'm glad to see a hilly course and a historical one.
