The reasons for this are fairly straightforward. 1)Conner is becoming a marathoner in the prime of his running career. Galen was already on the downside of his peak years when he moved to the marathon. 2)Conner appears to be slightly tougher mentally than Galen although they are both tough. 3)Conner is as good (or slightly better) on the track as Galen was when Galen moved to the marathon. Galen of course was better on the track but that was in his prime years. 5)Conner’s legs are not so beaten up and due to his age he may have a longer career as a marathoner than Galen did. However Galen did get a marathon medal (possibly due to a shoe advantage) and I am not sure that Conner will ever get a medal. 6)Conner’s running form appears to be more efficient and made for the marathon, more so than Galen’s. I assume many of you would agree with me here.
