Mike Powell's WR Turns 30-Years-Old

- Sydney McLaughlin Returns To Her Hometown In NJ To Have Track Named After Her McLaughlin arrived at the ceremony in a police escort and was greeted by a crowd of 300 people.

- Heavy Throws Highlight Hungarian Grand Prix In Budapest Tokyo 4th placer Mykhaylo Kokhan threw 78.77m to win the hammer throw. Olympic 1500m fifth-placer Adel Mechaal won the 1500m in 3:36.51.
Women's Half WR Goes Down
The 2020 World Half bronze medalist had a 64:40 PB coming into this race which she actually set at the race where Ruth Chepngetich set the previous 64:02 record. Ethiopia's Jemal Yimer ran 60:29 to win the men's race, just beating out countryman Tesfahun Akalnew (60:30) and Kenya's Shadrack Kiminig (60:31).
Downtown Yakima Mile
- Sam Prakel (3:54.9) And Nikki Hiltz (4:21.5) Win Downtown Yakima Mile In Washington Matt Centrowitz finished back in 10th place in 3:57 as the top-12 went sub-4 and Hiltz outkicked Eleanor Fulton to set a Washington state soil record.
Paris
Francine Niyonsaba went 8:19 to become the 5th fastest even outdoors and Elaine Thompson-Herah kept her incredible 2021 going with a 10.72 win.
