Meh, it's pretty much in line with her 1500 and 5000 PRs. It's good, and certainly better than her 2 mile at Pre, but nothing spectacular.

4th fastest American after Slaney, Simpson and Rowbury.

Please don’t let facts get in the way of someone’s poorly educated opinion stated as fact.

And Schweizer,Houlihan and Quiqley Indoors amd Purrier's 2 Mile of 9:10 might equate to a sub 8:30, nevertheless a GREAT TIME for Cranny
I got it at 909 for cranny 830 to 909
Did she dedicate her race to Shelby?

Another feather in the cap for Jerry, Shalane and Nike . Kate Grace must be thinking what a big mistake she made trusting the Bosshard group , watching the Olympics from home , and seeing former teammates flourish . 😿
This is the worst take I’ve seen in a long time, Grace is in the season of her life.

Probably. Looks like she is back to their famous food truck diet.

Are they all doping in that program? Or was Shelby s one off?
Stick to the lab, Brian.
This 3000 time seems slightly superior to her 1500 and 5000 times. A great run for her. She can probably scare the AR indoors or outdoors if she wants.
Fantastic run for Niyonsaba. She has definitely found her distance.

Well they all closed ranks, led by Schumacher and Flanagan, instead of condemning the banned drug cheat.
Does that answer your question?
What's also impressive is Elise's first win over GDS --and by a good margin.
GDS won Prickly Pear bacin Feor the bruary in 8:38 pr over Cranny in 4th in 8:40pr, so today was probably an off race for Gabriella. Nonetheless, both have bounced around the world --- from Park City to Tokyo to Eugene to Paris -- and Elise is just absorbing all e training/racing/fatigue and keeps getting better.
Based upon what's happened this spring and summer, and with Shelby on the shelf, an argument can be made that Elise is now -- for the moment -- the best of the Bowerman Babes. Karissa's prs are better but Elise beat her at the Trials and Karissa has shut it down for the summer.
There's a mile and 5k for women next week at the Brussels Diamond League meet. Elise should be in one of those.
By the way, Elise and Grant seem be on the same improvement curve. Both joined BTC in 2019 (Elise in March, Grant in June), both had rough 1st years, both started showing their stuff w/5k prs last summer at their intrasquad meets, and now both have elevated to top of their respective BTC training groups and are now top-15 in the world in the 5k.
Shout out to Coach Miltenberg for not running them into the track when they were at Stanford.

This is called friendship and loyalty to a teammate who is innocent . When Courtney acknowledged Shelby at the Trials , and Emma raised her snooty eye brows .... guess Courtney and Jerry have the last laugh after Tokyo.
I don’t know that I give Milt much credit but I think Elise was most naturally talented female athlete during his time at Stanford based on her HS career and Grant was his best male, and I am glad to see that Jerry has them really capitalizing on the talent.
Well, the WADA lab, AIU, World Athletics led by Lord Coe, and CAS including the arbiter chosen by Nike think otherwise. She got banned, in an unanimous decision at the highest court of arbitration, for four years for intentional doping.
But sure, keep claiming without evidence that she is innocent.

There is an element of truth here. The event is not run too often outdoors. Schweizer, Houlihan and Quigley all have faster times indoors. Slaney's 3:25.83 has remained unchallenged for 36 years.
3:25.83 will NEVER be broken.
