Almost inconceivable. SO fast!

Yes. Hence why there are so few replies or real interest. Everyone with a brain cell is thinking the same thing.
Everyone, brain cell or otherwise, is not usually so reticent about speculating on Letsrun whatever the thing is that they are thinking of.
I give it 6 months to a year before something come outs and it’s invalidated.

I'm 100% sure there are people even here that will defend the validity of this performance until concrete evidence comes out and even after there is a ban a select few will still be skeptical of a positive test. It wasn't that long ago that people were publicly trashing the Chinese women and saying the performances were a joke and making a mockery of the sport yet many of those times are now being eclipsed. What's the limit for those people? What kind of performance would have to be put up before that individual outright says it's not possible to run that fast clean? I'm genuinely interested. 61 minutes for a half? 13:30 5k? Where is the line now? Is there even a line anymore?
Another amazing performance of the back of virtually no out of comp testing in 2020/1
So many bitter comments.
don't you find it odd when a solid record like this is completely smashed by a relative nobody?
The Half Marathon WR on the women's side has been so strange over the last 7 years. It was stuck at 1:05:40 for so long until 2014. Keep in mind that record was set by the Paula Radcliffe with her ridiculous marathon record. Since then the half marathon record has been comically lowered and even Radcliffe's ridiculous marathon WR that caused so many to assume she must've been a doper fell as well.
In general women's distance running has raised an eyebrow as of late. The ridiculous doped Chinese 1500m record falling to Dibaba, than the Chinese 10k record being smashed multiple times. The road running revolution that has seen Radcliffe's records, considered unbelievable themselves, to be decimated.
I wouldn't even be shocked to see the 3000m wr be touched at this point.
Let's be honest. Yes living and training at altitude helps. Yes a culture promoting running and endurance in general helps. But the secret sauce of East African dominance is and always has been widespread doping. And the sad reality is that this is the case for any era of dominance of modern sport. The East Germans female athletes, Jamaican sprint dominance, ect...
The thing is unlike others I can appreciate the performances and the pushing of boundaries. Yes, one can use substances like EPO to aid themselves, but it still takes herculean effort to train so ridiculously hard to get to this level. At the end of the day it is still the hard working dedication, and sacrifice of the human being which leads to such incredible feats.. I just wish we would drop the charade that the sport is supposedly clean. American sports leagues like the NFL and NBA hardly bother pretending that athletes are clean, but for some reason in Olympic sports there's so glorification of the idea athletes aren't using PEDs despite the well known and ongoing history of athletes doing exactly that.

Well, in 2019 1:06:01- 2020 1:04:46, this year 1:04:40 and now 1:03:44. Bronze medallist World Half Ch in 2020, 1:05.19. No. 1, 4 and 5 on the all time list. Not exactly a newcomer.

What's your threshold?
In 1976 I was in Coamo P.R. when the men's world record was set at 1:03:46 by Rafael Angel Perez. Who would've known I would live to see the woman's record fall by 2 seconds off that mark back in the days. Damn in old!!!!

I’ll spell it out then: the rampant African doping is just boring. Boring, boring, boring! Most people probably can’t even be bothered to comment it’s so obvious.

Wasn't that even before you changed your name to "Dr Chapstick" for a while?

Maybe it’s time you take a moment to get to know the best female half marathon runner ever.
She’s now got the 1st (today), 4th (April, 21), 5th (Nov, 20) fastest time ever.
She was just 30 seconds behind Ruth when she broke the half marathon WR.
Bronze at the world half marathon champs (Oct, 20).
Led most of the final few minutes…
https://youtu.be/9k7iYbcRINcGot 4th in the 10k at the Ethiopian trials this year.
She wasn’t a nobody before and she’s definitely not a nobody now.
Why is this even a competition? How fast can you run the first half of a marathon lol
