It has been 13+ years since Stanford won an NCAA XC team title, and no Stanford man or woman has ever won the individual title. Look for Ella Donaghu and this year's Cardinal team to change that.

Saving Track Programs
Ironically, it could be Title IX that saves the program as by cutting men's track, Clemson would have 318 female athletes and only 229 male athletes.
- William And Mary Men's Track Is Reinstated (Swimming And Gymnastics Too) A significant increase in donations being credited with the change in plans. W&M president Katherine Rowe noted that "sustained higher levels of philanthropic support" will be needed to keep the sports in the future.

- USTFCCCA Recap: LSU's Noah Williams Runs #4 World All-Time 400m To Win In 44.71 This was just after Randolph Ross had ran 44.99 (#8 on the NCAA all-time list) in the first heat. Matthew Boling beat out Terrance Laird by .01 to win the 200m in 20.19 (#7 NCAA all-time).

- Register Guard: Oregon Ducks Dominate In Winning NCAA Indoor Champs Oregon's Micah Williams won the 60m in 6.49 and Chiebuka Emmanuel Ihemeje the TJ with 17.26m. LSU's Damion Thomas won the 60H in 7.51.
- RRW: Oregon's Cole Hocker Wins Both Mile and 3000m At NCAA Indoor Championships

Matsuda was disappointed with the performance though as she was shooting for the 2:20:29 women's only NR. Post-race she was crying and apologizing on-camera for not having run faster.

- World Athletics Recap: Aussie 5000m Titles Decided At Sydney Track Classic Matthew Ramsden took the men's race in 13:29.99 with a 56-second last lap to beat Brett Robinson (13:31.97) while the women's race was won by Canada’s Andrea Seccafien (15:25.62) over Aussie Jenny Blundell (15:25.84). Nina Kennedy set a NR of 4.82m in the PV, Linden Hall won the 800m in 2:01.27 and there was also high praise for the comeback of discus thrower Dani Stevens who won with 63.36m.
- GB's Miguel Francis Highlights Jamaican Meet With 20.50 Victory In The 200m Zharnel Hughes won the 100m in 10.13. Yohan Blake won his heat in 10.20 (third overall). Double Olympic champ Elaine Thompson Herah opened her season in the 400m (56.26 for second in her heat).

Harrison produced the best single day high jump and long jump double ever with 2.30m (HJ) and 8.45m (#8 all-time LJ) victories. After winning the pentathlon on day one, Tyra Gittens doubled back on day 2 to take the HJ in 1.90m. Turner Washington threw 21.36m to dominate the men's shot put.
- Tara Davis Takes NCAA LJ With World-Leading 6.93m After already winning the pentathlon and HJ, Tyra Gittens competed again to finish 3rd. Lisa Gunnarson won the PV with 4.56m.
- Georgia’s Karel Tilga And Kyle Garland Are The First To Ever Go 1-2 For A Team In The NCAA Heptathlon Tilga won with 6264 points, #2 on the NCAA all-time list.

- Distance Runner Florence Jepkosgei Chepsoi Becomes the First Kenyan Athlete To Be Convicted Of A Doping Offense In Criminal Court She was sentenced to one year of community service after she was found guilty of presenting false documents and lying to the Kenyan anti-doping agency at a hearing.
MB: Kenyan doper becomes first to be convicted by criminal court - Russia Remain Hosts Of 2022 International Shooting Sport Federation World Championships Despite CAS Ruling The CAS ruling said that Russia couldn't host any major events during its ban, but there is a loophole if moving the event is "legally or practically impossible."
