If legit, you have to think he’s in national record shape for 3k / 2 miles. I could see him running like 3:55-3:56 this year

Yes he will absolutely join the sub 4 group very very soon. And I think he outruns both Dashbach and Hobbs if he’s hitting workouts like that. Looking at 2019 results, (skipped 2020 for COVID) running a 4:07 mile on its own would put you at or around the top 10 for the 1600 rankings nationally.
That is 7:55 3k workout.
And in terms of the 2 mile record, very possible. He ran 14:55 in XC, which is fast, but not even close to comparable to this workout. But considering that he closed with a 4:07 instead of opened with it. This shows that he is comfortable running longer distances at 4:15-4:20 pace. I could easily see sub 8:30 in the near future.

Edit: sub 8:30 for 2 mile, not 3k
3 x mile or 3 x 1600? I was too lazy to watch the video to check.

3x1600
How the f are kids running so fast these days? Nuts. The 3:50 HS miler is not far off gents. Not far off.
3x400 in 54 after as well
Kids gotta knock off classes this summer and hop a flight to Eugene. Why f*ck around in high school for another year
Methodical trainer with a plan. Not jetting all over to run indoor races, instead he's laying low, doing the work to peak when it counts.

He is supposedly trained by Tinman. Was in Arizona living and working out with Tinman Elite during their training camp. However, this workout doesn't seem like a Tinman type session. I don't think he ever prescribes long intervals that are THAT intense. 3x1600 at 3200 pace is near a peak / all out effort session. Let alone adding on 3x400 in 54 afterwards.
I have been around track and field for 30+ years now, and will offer that this kid is a future superstar. He has both the build as well as the stride. A workout like that as an American junior in high school, especially solo, is completely jaw dropping. I agree with the statement above that the first sub 3:50 HS mile gets more and more near.
He’s peaking in high school for sure.
Anyone know the recoveries?
Collective aerobic development, general strength, and growing into his body over the next 3-4 years will lead to dizzying heights. Should be really fun to watch.

he is definitely a tinman guy. and if that is a tinman workout, than tom's philosophy has evolved in a major way.

800m jog between miles
Anyone know the tests on these
It does matter to gauge real fitness level
I watch his YouTube stuff and I never see any jogging rests only standing around
No criticism, just outlining what I see

Tinman does do some harder stuff close to the race time. I doubt he is doing this every week. I also wouldn't be surprised if he was a bit to agressive. Something like 5k-3k-3k with last lap fast is a hard workout but with decent rest is doable. But man those 400s looked smooth. Youtube has him with a 151 recently that was pretty much a solo run .
I hope we have nationals this year so all of this kids can race one another. I saw Gavin Sherry (ran like 853 last year as soph and 1430 in the fall) ran a 51s 400m in some team time trial (along with a 412, 154). Hobbs has the sub 4. Edwards ran an 852. John Lester ran that 148/405. And whoever else hasn't run or I forgot about. We could have some monster races at the mile and 2 mile with 3 or 4 runners capable of running sub 4/8:40.
