LOL YUP
How could anyone hate on this guy? This White Lighting trip is fun.
The 200m is where white sprinters have been the most successful. look at LeMaitre, he was better at 200m, Borzov better at 200m, Guliyev better at 200m, Mennea better at 200, the last two USA white Olympic sprinters Mark Lutz and Larry Questad ran the 200m. Kevin Little a 200 guy, Kenteris a 200 guy, legends like Mel Patton, Hal Davis were better at 200m.
He does need to lose the long jump, not helping him any.
How did he destroy second place? Second place was 0.01 s behind and in a tighter lane.

The 200m is not a successful event for white sprinters. Number one event is the 800, , high jump, 400, and to some extent the triple jump (world record holder)

Probably the people who got bumped when he was reinstated after running out of his lane in qualifying are the ones most hurt.
i have a bad habit of assuming things are obvious, yep, my bad.
I was talking about white 100/200 sprinters, if they run both they will be more succesful in the 200m most the time. History has proven that. Totally prepared to prove it.

Hadn't heard about it. Are you confusing his SEC final with his NCAA prelim? Or was this a legit issue?

You know, I'm prepared to prove you wrong based on one example: My own.
You're the "white stoner historian" guy. Where does a 10.27 go on the list of all-time 100m American white guys? It's good enough to be on a pretty less than stellar list, me thinks? Amirite?
I was better over 100 than 200. I maxed out at 20.82 over 200, and even that was a struggle. I think I still had room for improvement over 100, but my 200 was NEVER gonna match my 100 abilities.
And I was a bad starter, too.

Ya 'Destroys' isn't the right word. He did a great job, and he's looking great this season. But saying he destroyed the field is not accurate. I'd say he needs to win by a full tenth of a second to say that. Hopefully he can run sub 20 and sub 45 outdoors and keep it rolling, should be able to. I imagine a sub 20 would make the 200 his best event, would 19.99 equivalent be a 44.50?
Exactly, not the right word wrote:

Agreed. "Destroyed" is BS. But a legit win, and a great time.

White stoner history guy, ha!
I think this will work better if you take some time and actually delve into this instead of me rattlng this stuff off. Check out the all time 100m list then the all time 200m list, check out Olympic/World medals, check out world rankings, see what you find.
Being that white stoner history guy trust me when I tell you there are no sprinters of merit I'm not aware of, yep, pre1900. Call it a hobby.
You will uncover why I'm telling you in most cases if a white sprinter runs the 100 and 200 he will be more successful in the 200m.
To trump your situation, Kevin Little, Larry Questad, Mark Lutz, Mel Patton, already 4 to 1.

What constitutes a "sprinter of merit"?
I'm not going to go through the list the way you say to, because I think stacks the deck in anecdotal way. Mostly I take what your saying as an absolute, which in itself is a recipe for a false premise.
Devin Quinn. He's happening NOW. Hes a 100m guy. He's NOT a 200 guy. He may well become the first white guy (that I know of) to go sub 10 basic this year.
Bolling had a great race and just outleaned Baird, who had tighter turns but also had the benefit of being able to key off Bolling.
Where there was a big gap between 60m and 200m speed was on the women's side, where Abby Steiner was blown away by the field in the 60m but was up by 0.2 seconds in the 200m heats and just got past Tamara Clark of Alabama to tie the meet record (or set it and tie the national record?) of Gabby Harris in 20.34?
There was a reason I wanted you to take some time and find this stuff out yourself. i had a feeling you have never really given this any thought, here is Devin Quinn

Here I sit able to take you back to the days of Lon Myers who held the American record at 50, 100, 200, 400, 800 and the mile, as you struggle with Devin Quinn. Come on man.
Give me a white 100/200 sprinter who is not better in the 200 and I will give you five who are, ok?
Congrats to Boling. Went out strong, a bit sloppy at the finish but still gets NCAA title and a fast time. Boling will definitely keep improving.
