I'm closing this whole thread to new posts. It's served its purpose and I don't know what else can be said on the matter.
I must state though that many of the posts in this thread, particularly the ones praising Mike Smith while ripping Dave Smith disgust me.
Those posters are basically saying, "If you recruit foreign athletes that are white, you are a high integrity person like Mike Smith, but if you recruit foreign athletes that are black, then you are shady and don't deserve respect."
Take your racism somewhere else.
The reality is Mike Smith trotted out a women's team yesterday with four transfers on it including three of who were from outside the US. He was doing everything he could to win that race just like Dave in the men's race.
First he ruined German Fernandez. Now he takes shortcuts to success by stacking his team with East African imports. No respect. I hope NAU beats them again.
I think it bothers people that he gives out full rides to foreigners but gives partial scholarships to faster American kids. Because most foreigners aren’t coming for less than a full as their crappy country’s colleges are free or if they’re African it’d be unaffordable.
But yes, it’s very funny that Dave can’t win anything still even though 4 of his top 5 are from Morocco and Kenya etc. But don’t worry, if you’re an American athlete he’ll make sure to belittle, swear at and insult you at practice and on trips.
Do you realize that you are claiming that he is handicapping his team doing it the hard way. Your claim is that faster American kids accept smaller scholarships which means the teams who recruit only Americans should be much better than the ones who have foreigners.
If you are talking about something that belongs to one country, in which case, you would say country’s. If are talking about more than one country, but not something that belonged to them, you would say countries. If you were talking about something that belonged to more than one country, you would say countries’.
You thought you were being clever being a grammar nazi but (even more) ironically you just learned a lesson on grammar. :D
Not Clay Mayes III, coach at some random JuCo in California. Clay hates Dave but insanely goes after athletes on the team on here for whatever reason instead of Dave himself. As if they had an impact on him being a 26:00 8k guy.

Not what I was referring to AT ALL. But power on and miss the more obvious point AGAIN 😂😂😂😂
If you’re trying to take a dig at OK State then you’re also very off base. It’s a world class research university with one of the highest donation endowments from donors because their alumni make so much money. Third most national championships in all of college sports and spends over 600m a year on faculty staff and coaches alone. Next?
