On the men’s side, obviously. I know about Abbey D. Any others besides those two?
Ivy elitist LRC braintrust will be overjoyed.
“I ran like a dumb-ass!” Graham Blanks
That was so awesome to see
And then curses in the post race interview. Even better!!!!
Double majors in economics and philosophy at world's best college

Blanks an honorary Frenchman for this
gotta admit, that guy is likable
It seems most sports were dominated by Ivy League schools early on in the NCAA days, I'm surprised no one won back in the day.
Not in cross country.
No team titles either.
His win today deserves a lot more attention. It’s not just that he won. It’s how he won and by how much. He covered every move as if nobody/nothing could faze him, and he powered away from everyone.
He beat a U20 medalist and 17th place finisher at world cross by 3 seconds. He put 18 seconds on the defending NCAA 5,000-10,000 track champ, and he beat everyone else by 20+ seconds. Dominant performance.
He's from Athens, GA home of the #1 football team in the USA......the University of Georgia. UGA will follow in his footsteps and win the National Championship.
It was a beautiful thing to see Graham Blanks with his arms around Habtom Samuel after the race. Great guys and touching moments make running the best sport out there!
What times did he run in H.S.?
Except it was Yego from Arkansas…
I coached in GA during his time. He was a mid 15:00 xc guy from what I remember. He ran NXN 2019. Check out the 35s mark
Here is the dumbass quote:
Here is a lengthy post-race interview with him:
