The team race is really the better story. If you win by 1 points, everyone is MVP, but Bush did the most with her strong finish by offsetting losses from Stephens and Hartman dropping off.
Tuohy ended up doing the WilisReed with just enough. Tyynismaa making all American in her first completed '23 race.
Even the kids despite dropping last k, were solid 4 and 5!
I’m not buying the weak excuse that Tuohy was sick. Before the race, the coach said Tuohy is in the best shape of her life. Now she’s sick?? BS. Every time Tuohy loses there are lame excuses. So sick of it.
Ok, who had "sick" in the now-deleted thread from a week ago about Tuohy fans listing their excuses for why she lost to Valby? Come on, I read through some of the thread, I know a few of you nailed it.
It was so unfortunate. I mean, Tuohy would easily lap Faith Kipyegon in the 1500m when she's not sick. Would have been great to see her run under 17:00 today.
It is so insulting to Valby and every other NCAA runner that has beaten Tuohy the past few months. The list just keeps getting longer. No sportsmanship whatsoever.

Katelyn is not the one who said she was sick, and for a reason. Henes said she wouldn't want people knowing that, and for a reason. I happen to believe she was sick today. I also don't believe she would have beaten Parker today if healthy.
Sam bush also said Tuohy was sick in an interview.
We are also sick .... suck of Tuohy and her supporters always making excuses for her. In the spring when she brings up the rear of the 1500, we will be told after the race how she was on her death bed the entire week leading up to the final. Give it a rest. No one else is always making excuses.

Yeah, absolutely.
Individually, I don’t think a healthy Tuohy could’ve beaten the Valby we saw today, but man did this team reallllly step up, including her that last 1k. And Amaris and Bush, this team was gutsy.
Ok at this point just enjoy your championship and move on. Making excuses for your runners just takes away from your accomplishments. At this point everyone on that NC State team is sick or injured. I would be more concerned with their training if everyone is coming up with injuries this season. She’s just trying to make their win “more epic” and romanticizing it. Enjoy the championship and zip it.
