- Warholm and Ingebrigsten both pull out of Brussels despite having contracts to run the meet The meet organizer is disappointed but understands they are tired and won't go after them for breach of contract. Ingebrigtsen's agent said while he won in Lausanne he feels he's "on a physical downturn."
- Thompson-Herah withdraws from Brussels 200 to protect Achilles She won't run any more 200s this year as she doesn't want "to pressure her Achilles on the curve."
- Women's 200 will feature intersex athletes versus Sha'Carri Richardson, Dina Asher-Smith and Shericka Jackson.
- Sha'Carri Richardson wants to keep Flo-Jo's WR in the US "I actually hope that her world record will be improved so that I can eventually bring the record back to the United States,”
- Daniel Stahl and Yaime Perez win discus in Brussels at Bois de la Cambre park Even though it was a discus-only event, they still stuck to the winner takes all 6th round format.
