At least he got the last all american spot..? To be fair he's had a history of not doing as expected at nationals
They've yet to interview a runner/team who didn't mention the mud
Besides Clinger, what other boys have won NXN as a juinor?
Where is Clinger going to college?
It's Bozeman for the win
Yeah its kinda annoying. We all saw the race, and it's muddy literally every year at NXN. At this point three things should be expected every year...
#1: The course will be muddy
#2: The course for the boy's race will be destroyed
#3: Times will be slow in general
Craig Lutz (Marcus 2009), lost to Verzbikas the next year.
Bozeman 105
AF 141
Brentwood 153
Brentwood 163 (correction)
Davis UT 180
NV 181
Clinger - either Oregon or BYU.

2009 Craig Lutz TX is the only other one, I believe.
Do tey always reveal the results with the top 3 teams on the stage? That's cruel.
Did they do this with the women's race?

Bozeman!! Gotta be an upset though they won convincingly

yes they did it with girls too, although less drama for top spot there. Bozeman with a huge upset.

Clinger is going to the MASH unit. He will bypass college. He has already earned Colonel designation.

Clinger is going to go to BYU or Oregon. Since LDS runners from Utah almost never leave the state my bet is BYU.
In the boys' race last year, 4:41 at the mile and 9:43 at the 2-mile vs. 4:53/10:01 this year. The race looked a lot muddier the last two years. The finish area was 3 or 4 inches thick in mud in 2014 and 15. The results suggest the quality of the boys individuals was not nearly as strong this year. Clinger looked around and moved away pretty effortlessly when he found himself in the lead. He was clearly the best runner in the field by a large margin. Too bad he can't get an "at-large" bid to Footlocker and run away from that field too.
105 points for Bozeman... damn those guys closed great!!! One of the lowest winning scores ever, on the boys side.

It is Portland, Oregon. It is likely to rain throughout the week before a race there this time of the year. It was very muddy when I was there two year ago. It was muddy when it was inside the horse racing track when the water drained off the horse track and onto the inside of the track where the runners course was located. If the runners do not want to deal with mud then they should run Foot Locker rather than NXN. The runners should expect to run in mud as long as Nike headquarters are located in Portland.
