The team I follow for NXN has auto-qualified, but that has not always been the case. Now that all of the regionals have been completed who will be the teams that get an at-large bid for girls and boys this year.
Their are four teams for each gender. Here are my predictions.
Boys, HL1, CA1, SW2
Girls SW1, NW1, NY1, SE1

SW1 and SW2 have already auto-qualified...

Woodlands over Millard all day. SW2 vs HL1 is interesting though.

On the boys side I would say Brentwood definitely gets one. For the other 3 I say heartland will get one, California will get one, and southwest will get one.

Brentwood qualified automatically by winning -

Sorry I meant woodlands -
1) Woodlands - SO#3
2) Dana Hills - CA#3
3) Springville - SW#3
4) Toss-up among Mahomet-Seymour (MW#3), Corning (NY#3), and Timpanogos (SW#4). -
Claremont gets the shaft twice in California. I wonder if they would have taken Claremont if they beat Dana Hills for 3rd overall, taken both teams, or left both sitting at home. I think Dana has built up enough of a reputation to where one might think how could you leave them out? Which I half agree with.
Do they decide which regions will receive the at larges in advance (at their committee meeting in October) or after the CA State meet? -
Well, for the girls they were a bit back of Palos Verdes. I was actually surprised that Palos Verdes got in (I guess their second place to Greak Oak at Mt. SAC ahead of both Claremont and Davis was probably just as important as their state meet performance).
As for the boys, it would have been interesting if Claremont finished ahead of Dana Hills. Tough to see two California at-larges, but also tough to see none. Cathedral Catholic really messed things up, huh?
Finally, no, the at-larges are determined after all the sectionals are complete. -
wow north dockland (NY) girls eastern states champs, 2nd to fm at ny state meet, wins ny feds ( fm sat out but beat shen ) going into regional ranked 5th in usa (has been in top 10 most of the year) gets 4th at ny regional and will sit home. wow that has to sting

I am pretty sure the NXN selection committee never published any rankings. Seems like milesplit or dyestat, or maybe letsrun, would have covered that.
