Kyle, you are great on podcasts please keep going on podcasts for major races. I will miss the Lap Count. I will also miss you on the live marathon streams. Like yes go do big things for the sport I am happy for you but I will miss your presence with Citius it was a highlight
Doubt he left his American Express gig for a certain to be failure sideshow. We’ve seen these “leagues” at the biggest levels fail- XFL etc.

Successful leagues haven't been built from the top down. They've been built organically from the ground up. NFL, Premier League, NHL, MLB were all founded by clubs in cities, which then competed against each other, and then formed organizations.
I hope nothing but the best for Merber and Johnson's new track league and would love to see it work out, but I don't have much confidence. Swimming tried something similar to this several years ago with the ISL, but it ended up running out of money when investors began backing out (part of this was hampered by the Russia-Ukraine conflict as their top investor was ukranian). They'll need to turn in success within the first few seasons to keep the money flowing in

Diamond League to Flotrack is a excellent opportunity to provide some competition. They will suffer. Even if the league fails, it doesn't matter so much if you are an employee receiving a salary, not an investor. When it fails, just go do something else. This is basically how people working at startups live.
I heard the Saudi's are really good at this type of thing.
don't burn your bridges kyle. this league should last all of one year or so.
