Farah has run faster at 10,000m than any of his current African competitors.
Why would a fast pace help them beat him?
Just last year Farah ran 26:50 and beat Kamworor head to head in that race.
And running the half marathon shows he is working on his endurance.
Unless you think it's Farah that will be running the 26:40 pace and they will sit on him. Then maybe someone will draft off of him and beat him to the line.
Not likely for the race to play out that way.
If you think Kamworor should lead in 26:40 pace, I don't know if he can keep away from Farah who can just latch on and follow him.
I guess the idea is for their second or third best guy to sacrifice himself and go out at that pace so Kam can draft off of this rabbit and hope he has more than Farah.
We here of these things but we have yet to see a Kenyan do this and sacrifice his chances.
If you are good enough to make the Kenyan 10,000m team and this is your one chance for glory, you damn well believe you deserve a medal and probably won't volunteer as the rabbit.
