Farah's decline is starting. His age is finally catching up to him. We saw him lose to Heath (who?) and then get destroyed in the half yesterday. His best days are behind him, and he will not win a gold in either the 5k or the 10k in Rio.

I like it how you anticipated the "Who?" lol
Bold claim without mentioning anyone who will beat him.
He may not win but your reasons are pretty bad.
An XC race and a long road race where he showed pretty good fitness and health but just didn't win, many months before he is trying to peak for track races is not an indicator that he is likely to be beaten in Rio.
In fact, if I were him I'd be pretty happy about where he is right now.
yes. almost a PB in terrible conditions. cost him a minute.
...and another minute behind his current "rival". Either his age is creeping up, or what he might have been using previously is now detectable, or the "arrangement" to be protected is no longer valid with the mass departure of the overseeing management.
is a dopper?
True, he will not win "a Gold". He will win 2 or possibly 3 if he runs the marathon as well.

Farah could have easily put in that half performance in any of the years he dominated the world on the track. Let's not get carried away just yet.

This is nonsensical. Farah barely ever runs cross-country, and is a 3:28 1500m runner who has enough strength to be competitive in the 5000m and 10000m. Historically, which 3:28 1500m runners are actually capable of being competitive at the Marathon and Half-Marathon? None. Besides Farah, I'm not sure that any others have even tried.
In contrast, which 3:28 1500m runners are competitive at the 5000m or 10000m? Well, for faster runners, we have El Guerrouj, who was also a fantastic 5000m runner. If we move up to 3:29, we also get Daniel Komen (no explanations needed for both distances), Said Aouita (also a fantastic 5000m runner), and Caleb Ndiku.
These are all strength-based guys who had enough speed to throw down a good 1500m time, and enough strength to stay competitive at either the 5000m or 10000m distances. Why did none of them run the Marathon or Half-Marathon? Because guys with their speed are innately disadvantaged in races that are that long. Farah is a unique case in this respect.
Oh no, Hichem El Guerrouj could have run 58:00 for the half if he wanted to.
Also 3:28 is not fast, Bekele and Gebrselassie could run 3:26

Only 5 men in history have run faster than 3:28 for 1500m. although I'm sure you were just trolling.
I don't know who can beat Farah in the 5k. Kamworor has a shot in the 10k though.
Hard to see Farah losing given how these races go tactically but I do hope he loses to mix it up a bit.
It was just last year that they made the 10k an honest race. Farah proved in the half yesterday that he can't handle a real pace anymore.
If you're willing to move up to 3:30, then you can add Steve Ovett and Alan Webb.
Yes, 5k is Farah's best distance - he never even raced a championship 10k until joining NOP - so losing a road race more than 4 times as long is not a problem. Kamworor I think would have a much more difficult time breaking away from Farah over 10k than a half marathon. He would probably have to run 26:30 pace to gap Farah and that I think would be much more difficult for Kamworor than his half breakaway pace.
Farah was never going to beat a half marathon specialist like Kamworor in a 21km race. However put him in a 5K race and its a different story. He will still win gold in Rio.
Well duh!
Last time solid gold medals were given out was in the 1912 Olympics. Farah will at most win 6 grams of solid gold
If the pace is fast from the gun, in the 26:40-27:00 minute range then Kamworor has a good chance to win. But if the pace is 27:30 or slower from the start then Farah will be tough to beat. The difference is 5 seconds per kilometer and that will take the sting out of Farahs kick.
Farah is still the favorite in the 5000m, it is not long enough to take away his kick at any pace.
