He's finally going up against legit competition. He's probably pretty confident about what shape he's in.

Sub 59?
Also will his training partner Galen Rupp run the World HM Champs and smash Hall's 59:43 American Record?
If rupp runs it he will smash the record, but he if he is coming off of indoor wc then he may not be ready
Yeah good luck with the, he won't be able to break the WR. He is a championship runner, not a time trialer. Not sure why he signed up for this.
Yeah, that's right, Mo will not have thought this through. He's got no chance with this not being a championship race....
....doh!
(Though i take the point this is likely to be run as a time trial rather than a sit and kick event - and I agree that he's being less cautious that normal in sticking his head above the parapet here. Probably does imply confidence, which would be ominous for his opponents)

Maybe because it's a freaking championship?
Didn't he say he was skipping both World Indoors and the World Half Marathon? This was just a couple weeks ago.
tony the tiger just left for the store to pick up more Vaseline and Kleenex.
My bet is that farah will get top three. He will then come back a month later and drop another 3:28 1500 just to show he's still got it and but the doubters to rest
I'd like to see all the top half guys in there at full strength to see if Farah has the ability to win a race that is not sit and kick. Kamworor is in shape now.
kamworor is gonna go hard.. This race will be very exciting to watch
it will b the 4th time Mo faces Kamworor since 2011..I can't wait
If the pace is pushed the kamworor will win. If it's slow then mo will outkick for the win
It might need a WR to beat Farah on home soil, providing the weather plays ball. March in Cardiff could be nasty, wet, cold, windy.
Sounds like Mo's starting to think about what it would take to be more seriously considered an all-time great. From his point of view I'd expect him to avoid racing Kamwo more than he has to, as this would be putting himself in roughly an hour of pain. I'm interested to see how this turns out.
I love Olympic years so much.
I'm very glad to see this. I like that he is not scared to race his biggest threat in what I believe he has ever had in Kamworwor. I think it should be a promising race, but I personally see Farah having to settle for at best second place with Kamworwor winning
I thought Farah ducked tough races?
He's definitely putting his head above the parapet a little more this year. I'm particularly pleased about this one as I'm signed up for the mass participation race which follows the elites round, so whilst I won't be able to watch Mo, I will at least have been in the same race as him!
Wow. Now this becomes the race of the year (other than the Olympics) in my mind. Kamworor versus Farah at 13.1. That's a fair fight.
I can't wait for it.

He does. Entering this race doesn't change that.
In fact, by telling everyone that he was NOT going to do this race seems like making sure that the competition doesn't show up. Can't race your opponents if they don't know where you're racing. Better wait until all the major marathon fields are set first then enter.
