Trash talk or simply the standard Kenyan bravado you see taken out of context as that's the way their news stories always read?

Oh, it's soon. Veddddy soon. I'll have my excuses prepared and rehearsed.
That statement is so tame it couldn't possibly be called smack talk. "We're going to beat the other guys." What else would you expect an athlete to say? For it to be smack talk, he would have had to say something at least a little disparaging about Farah, like, "We are going to crush that weak old man."

I've learned not to take the Kenyan and Ethiopian bravado seriously anytime Farah is involved.
In past, we've had repeated statements from Kenyans and Ethiopians that they would force a fast pace, only to end up slowly chugging along when the race actually came around. I distinctly recall the attempt by Koech in which he threw down 1 fast lap, but then just let everyone else catch up afterwards. There was also the time when Gebremeskel claimed that he would "melt" Farah's lungs in the race, but also ended up doing nothing of note.
Every year, we get the same claims, get excited, and then get disappointed when the race goes the exact same way for Farah.

Agree 100%.
Been hearing this shit for literally years now. Same retards try to outkick a 3:28 guy off of 14:00 pace and lose.
God I hate Mo Farah. And the Kenyans/Ethernopians too, a little, for not doing anything about him.
Well, some day it will happen, the dude is aging.
LOL the half marathon is not Mo Farah's speciality , so i'm not surprised at all if he loses the race to Jeff , if this was 10k that is another story
Kamworor said the same thing before Pre last spring. Yawn
Well, of course someday they'll beat him. Farah has won seven straight World or Olympic finals in the 5,090 and 10,000. This doesn't go on forever.
If you watch the aftermath of the olympic and WC races, the Kenyans and Ethiopians don't act like the really care about the result. It is not as big a deal to them as to Farah, they are more into racing all year and raking in bucks rather than staking it all on one or two big events which aren't gonna make millions for them the way they do for Mo.
If Mo were beating them at steeplechase, that would be a whole nuther ball of wax. It would be their mission to win that event.
What do you expect them to do after the race? Cry? Or whine about this or that? That is not how we Kenyans do. We accept the outcome and move on. You must give it to Geoffrey Kamworor and Bedan Karoki in that where Mo Farah has beaten them, they did their best to dethrone him. If in doubt that the duo did their best ask the Ethiopians who ran World Cross country and or World championships 10000m in Beijing last year. Despite their pedigree, they all got dropped like amateurs by the ferocity of the Kenyans' tactics. Mo Farah has been tough, better than anybody else in the world but he is beatable. He is going down this weekend but that is not a big deal. The big deal is when he gets beaten in August at the Rio Olympics. Kamworor is one of only a handful of warriors to ever emerge from the Kenyan highlands and whose 'hunger' and 'fire' cannot be extinguished until he roars from the throne. And what place to crown him than at Cardiff in England this weekend. I predict a 58'35" win from him.

The duo won World XC by running away from the field.
They did not do the same against Farah, but rather followed him along to the finish.

Cardiff is in Wales.
The weather forecast for the race is crap. High 40s, a 90% chance of rain and 20 MPH winds. I wouldn't expect fast times.
There are many runners who are staying low waiting for Olympics.
It will probably be an epic edition this year, with Bolt aiming to go under 19s on 200m and marathon WR getting closer to 2h barrier (although it may not probably happen).
Is some sort of media advertising for Kenyans to talk like that, just as Mo does on Twitter.

Yeah, you didn't notice that ;)
Meanwhile, someone found an article on Farah where the reporter says it's believe illness has hampered Farah's buildup. The article doesn't have quotes from Farah and it has conflicting info as it has Salazar saying he's better than he's ever been.

Hmm. Maybe Salazar and the doctors are interpreting the post-dope/pre-race blood test results differently.

He can't win and knows it so he is trying to come up with an excuse has to why he lost.
