I just read the iaaf interviews printout. "It will be a tactical race," says Farah.
I'm so over this guy and his sit behind/go to front and slow it down bs. Hope the Kenyans absolutely throttle him.

yea I will be pissed fi I get up at 3:30 am (I am in Hawaii) to watch this and it is a slow sit and kick garbage
Tactical yes: Kamworor and Karoki will use the subtle tactic of the hammer.
It is going to be tactical. The weather is already pretty bad (very strong winds) and is forecasted to get worse. Anyone who leads during the headwinds (except at the end obviously) is going to struggle.

Yeah screw him for running to his strengths. He should put himself in a position where he will likely lose like a real man!

Wrong.

lol
Such a fast race for the condition. 59:05 with a fall at the start and the brutal rain/strong winds is probably worth ~58 flat in ideal conditions with even pacing and no fall. What will Kamworor and Karoki run when they move up to the marathon?

No more tactical races.
Next year, Kamworor needs to either run Dubai or London marathon.
Muchiri needs to 'upgrade' too. These boys can run.

Well yes actually. Instead of relying on his strength, he should challenge himself. This is why he'll never be on Bekele's level.

looks like he's moved up to the marathon four times already. a solid 2:06 man.

True and I'm very surprised it wasn't tactical. The winds at the start were not terrible and from miles ~4.5-11 the winds were either crosswinds or at our backs. The last 2 miles were bad with very strong winds (can tell from the splits basically across the board). But the winds to start were weaker than expected. Ether way, very surprised they ran that fast with the last few miles. I would say a good 30-40 seconds just in the last 2-3 miles.
im hoping someone talented challenges Farahs stupid sit and kick races... Mo's got speed and endurance, yet he never wants to hammer an all out race and maybe go for the WR's? why?! Mo fracking Farah why do you waste your talent like that?
